Philosophies for Business Success
Philosophies for Business Success
I have always been intrigued at how much some prominent business people have accomplished in their lifetime. From rags to riches these people overcame the odds to be powerhouse individuals. Society will line up to meet and listen to these individuals. And what they talk about seems to be like gold. But what got these people to the statute. What philosophies do these people live by that has held strong to carry them into the success that they enjoy? Well, I was able to find the philosophy that Corey Rudl (rest in peace) of marketingtips.com used for his life journey.
Corey Rudl for what I know about him was one of these people who started out with nothing and built a huge affiliate marketing, ebook business. It was said that he was pulling in millions of dollars a year. No, I don?t have exact figures. But it is astonishing that Corey kept the same vision and focus for the tenure of his career. That focus took him to greatness.
Corey Rudl philosophy is a great road map for success. It accompanies 5 very simple philosophies. 1. Choose success 2. Test something new today 3. Make opportunities to learn 4. Seek out great teachers 5. Define your goals, and take action to reach them These five philosophies bring about focus and provide a road map to success. Lets take a look at each one.
Choose Success You have to choose to want to succeed. That entails planting seeds of success everyday. Choosing success means taking action. Not just talking about what you always wanted to do but actually taking time out of your schedule and pursuing your dream. It does not mean sitting down and falling asleep on the couch every day. Success does not come by accident. It comes by hard work and perseverance. Success also does not mean that you will not have hurdles. Very successful businessmen and women are successful because they are able to maneuver around the hurdle. They?re also prepared and ready for the hurdles and they don?t give up.
Test something new today: This philosophy holds true for any business but it especially holds true in affiliate marketing. I define affiliate marketing as the art of convincing people to buy other peoples products. Affiliate marketers are not selling anything. The whole business premise is to find ways to market to the masses products that you believe in. In order to do this affiliate marketers must test new things everyday. Either their testing a new way of marketing or testing a product, test helps the affiliate marketer to find what the consumer wants and needs. Test something new today will help you to find your niche. So, don?t just sit back, go and test something new today.
Make opportunities to learn I have found that the best way to get ahead is to find someone who has accomplished a level of success that you want to achieve and have that individual to mentor you. Mentoring can come in the form of talking one on one or reading material published by the individual in question. Don?t be afraid of reading and seeking material to help you in your career. It will be well worth it.
Seek out great teachers You need to be around the people that have accomplished what you?re looking for. These people have a wealth of information that can sky rocket your business. Attend trade shows and speeches made by these individuals. If you?re interested in affiliate marketing www.cj.com offers a great seminar each year that allows you to meet people that have been very successful in affiliate marketing.
Define your goals, and take action to reach them This last step is very important. It helps you to not get discourage along your path. It helps you to make sure that every step that you take is in alignment with what you want to accomplish. It?s also a means to hold yourself accountable. Making goals it not a hard task neither. It could be as simple as saying that you will make 200 in your business by 1/15/06. Now, that is simple, but the technique is powerful. Don?t discount how significant this could be for your success.
All of these philosophies are equally significant and they all draw on each other. Take some time and expand on each and make them a part of your personality. It will be worth it.

By tracing Western Civilization back to its beginning, philosopher Peter Kingsley discovered a profound meaning within the creation of this society: The guiding principles that started this culture are as spiritual - indeed mystical - as they are practical. But in society's quest to embrace the concepts of reason and logic created at our beginning we have forgotten the heart at the center of those fundamental and essential teachings - until now. Approaching Metaphysics Part 2
If we think about it we will realize that we are unable to take anything material with us to the higher worlds when we pass on. We are unable to take along with us our house, our money, our possessions, our titles, etc. What we do take along are things that are immaterial--our knowledge, our memories, our karma, our habits, our character, our spiritual and psychic development, our aspirations and desires. We can see from this that our purpose in this world, in this physical plane is in connection with those immaterial things mentioned above, and if--and metaphysics declare it to be so--evolution is a law of Nature, a Cosmic law, then our true purpose is to evolve, to improve and to purify those immaterial things. Our greatest opportunity in...
John Stuart Mill - Philosopher and Advocate of Womens Rights
Rarely in history has there been, literally, a philosopher born to match John Stuart Mill. Born in 1806, Mill was himself the son of a philosopher, Scottish historian James Mill. In fact, James associated with some of the most revolutionary thinkers of his time and intended for John to continue his work on Utilitarianism (which he developed with Jeremy Bentham and Frances Place) after he had passed away. To gain this end, John Stuart Mill had a very focused, if somewhat limited, upbringing. He was kept away from other children his age, and his father began educating him quite early (he had learned Greek by the age of three).
