ON Networks Presents Zen Living: A New Video Guide to Life the Way Nature Intended -- Online TV Show Blends Old World Philosophies With Contempora

AUSTIN, Texas (BusinessWire EON) June 15, 2007 --     One of several new programs being introduced by ON Networks, Inc., Zen Living offers a guide to food, exercise, spirituality and medicine that combines old world know-how and ancient teachings with contemporary style and modern day living. In its first 12 episodes, Zen Living helps demystify issues such as macrobiotics, holistic preventative medicine and acupuncture for fertility, and provides information on the benefits of natural living, from building "green" homes to enjoying organic products, foods and fashion.

Each episode runs five to seven minutes and is hosted by Zen enthusiast Nicole Tomlinson, a long-time advocate of healthy nutrition and regular practitioner of Bikram yoga.

Zen Living is one of just a few original, professionally produced Internet TV shows selected by iTunes as a featured podcast and a featured video for Apple TV. Like all ON Networks shows, Zen Living is broadcast-quality video content originated in high-definition.

"The show is committed to demonstrating how everyday, time- and cash-strapped consumers can begin to make small changes for more healthful and eco-friendly living," says Kris Pham, co-producer with husband Eric Pham of PhameFactory, a nationally recognized visual effects company whose credits include the movies Sin City and Spy Kids, among other productions.

"Zen Living provides practical and affordable food, home and medical tips that can be easily integrated into anyone's day," Pham says.

Unique among healthful living shows, each episode of Zen Living features authentic Asian teachings, practices and foods that have been proven effective for several generations. The episodes include narrative and on-screen information as well as Q&A interviews with experts who share their knowledge, tips and "how to's" for living life the way Nature intended.

Zen Living's inaugural episodes include:

-- Cooking a Macrobiotic Meal

-- What is Macrobiotic

-- Asian Supermarket

-- Building a Green Home

-- Going Organic at Timpones Market

-- Basic Acupuncture

Future episodes will cover holistic medicine, acupuncture for fertility, organic fashion, children's gardening, compassionate kids programs, meditation, stress-free schools for children, and much more.

Rugged Individualism vs Human Nature
"Rugged individualism" is actually a euphemism for Thomas Hobbes' baseless concept of man's natural condition as a war of everyone against everyone else. Even different species of wild animals (each of which has its own group soul, as opposed to humans, which have individual souls) cooperate with one another for their mutual benefit, so Hobbes would have had us believe that mankind is inherently more bestial than the beasts, perhaps explaining the name of the pop "music" group known as the Beastie Boys.

By tracing Western Civilization back to its beginning, philosopher Peter Kingsley discovered a profound meaning within the creation of this society: The guiding principles that started this culture are as spiritual - indeed mystical - as they are practical. But in society's quest to embrace the concepts of reason and logic created at our beginning we have forgotten the heart at the center of those fundamental and essential teachings - until now. Finding Our Ancient Wisdom brings a new perspective to our modern, hectic world by taking us back to the beginning. Join philosopher/author Peter Kingsley as he explains what this ancient wisdom is and how it can be woven into our everyday lives.

Why Metaphysics? Part 1
What is metaphysics, and why should we bother studying it? What benefits does it have for humanity? What is its purpose? How will its teachings help advance society? How will it assist our civilization and culture to progress? How will our lives be re-created individually and collectively with the application of metaphysical principles? Questions abound concerning metaphysics, for people intuitively feel that it may have something precious to offer in terms of facilitating personal growth and self-empowerment. Among those spiritually inclined, it has become a "prime directive" to understanding their lives in terms of metaphysical principles and concepts such as multi-dimensional realities, the Higher Self, love, karma, reincarnation, etheri...
